Scottish 6 Day 2025

There were testing times for Tayside runners at this year's (2025) Scxottish Six Day event held on Deeside with the event centre at Ballater.

Events were held at Glen Fearder East  https://www.scottish6days.routegadget.co.uk/rg2/#78  Glen Fearder West  https://www.scottish6days.routegadget.co.uk/rg2/#79 and  Greag Choinnich https://www.scottish6days.routegadget.co.uk/rg2/#80  all near Braemar over the first three days. (Maps and results can be explored at the routegadget links given). Club members were on the organising team on the 3rd day Creag Choinnich.

Then came the rest day but not much of a rest since some of us joined in the urban sprint at Ballater https://www.scottish6days.routegadget.co.uk/rg2/#81 while others went mountain bike orienteering on Scolty Hill.. 

Thursday took us to the Aboyne area for event 4 on Balfour Hill. https://www.scottish6days.routegadget.co.uk/rg2/#82

And on Friday we finished up at Glen Dye near Banchory https://www.scottish6days.routegadget.co.uk/rg2/#83

Almost 3000 competitors took part but there were group medals for Euan Tuddenham on M14 short and Bill Melville in M85

In 2 years time, the Six Day Event comes to Perthshire centred on Aberfeldy.
