Scottish Six Day Event

Thirty Two Tayside O Club members are entered for the mammoth UK orienteering event which gets underway on Deeside next week.

The series which dates back to 1977 will once again bring around 3000 competiors from as far away as New Zealand, Australia, and the Americas to compete in five days of forest competiton plus a sprint in Ballater and a mountain bike event on what is called the Rest Day midweek.

Tayside club runners will use their best three results from the forest competitons to get their overall age group placing with a number expecting to notch up medal placings.
